PROBABLY FATALLY HURT.
-----
Wm. Stephenson Falls Under Heavy
Wagon.
-----
While Wm. Stephenson, the
Waters-Pierce agent at Kosse, was enroute to Bremond with a tank of oil, he fell
from the wagon which passed over him, crushing his thigh to a pulp.
He was driving six mules to the wagon whose
contents weighed 2400 pounds. In some way, presumably when the wheel sank
in a hole in the road, lost his balance and was precipitated to the ground.
Dr. Blaylock, the physician who examined
the wounded man gave out little hopes for his recovery.
