PRECINCT CONVENTIONS.

Delegates Elected To County Convention
July 16th.
Pursuant to call of Chairman N. J.
Lewellyn a number of democrats of the north Marlin voting box met ut the court
house at 2 p. m. Saturday afternoon for the purpose of electing delegates to the
county convention which meets in Marlin Saturday July 16.
N. J. Llewelyn was elected chairman and J. M. Kennedy
was elected secretary.
Tom Connally, W. W. Turner, and W. M. McKewen were
appointed a committee to recommend a list of delegates to the convention and
reported as follows:
W. W. Hunnicutt, N. J. Lewellyn, J. M. Kennedy, J. L.
Lenoir, S. M. Steen, W. T. Perdue, C. J. Bartlett, B. H. Rice, Z. I. Harlan,
Jake Gordon, T. L. Turner, J. A. Martin Jr., G. G. Moore, R. S. Hunnicutt, L. E.
Allen, H. G. Carter, J. W. Spivey.
On motion the committee was added to the delegation and
the whole adopted.
On motion of from Connally the convention endorsed the
action of the national convention in session at St. Louis.
SOUTH MARLIN CONVENTION.
The democrats of south Marlin met at the officers of J.
A. Martin and J. W. Spivey and elected A. W. Eddins chairman and L. E. Oltorf
secretary, a committee composed of W. W. Turner, L. E. Oltorf and W. T. Fannin
was appointed to recommend delegates to the county convention.
The committee recommended the following delegates:
W. A. Oltorf, F. E. Smith, S. J. Barton, Walter Gardner, Pete Nobles, W. A.
Patrick, C. A. Oltorf, J. C. Holloway, S. D. Hutchings, H. O. Bargainer, W. D.
Dillard, Alex Frazier, C. A. Jones, A. W. Eddins, Paul Schibhech, C. B. Spencer.
On motion the committee was added and the list adopted
as a whole.
