PILFERED POST OFFICE.

For some time parties have been
entering the post office and extracting money from the cash drawer after closing
hours.
The post office employes have missed money on several
occasions and on Wednesday evening steps were taken to apprehend the party or
parties guilty of the offence.
Alfred Williams was arrested and placed in jail but was
later released on order of U. S. Commissioner McCormick who is in the city
pending investigation by the post office inspector.
