PIG ROAST AT FAIR VIEW.
An invitation was extended the Ladies
Aid Society of the First Baptist church last Wednesday to attend a "pig roast"
at Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Newbold's. Despite the weather quite a crowd
gathered at their "Fair View."
Dinner was not served in the three course style, but an
old fashioned barbecue. The guests were seated around a large table spread under
large oaks. To tell of the good things to eat is almost impossible, though Rev.
Andrews could come nearer than anyone else present, as we are sure he sampled
each dish.
All joined in playing the old fashioned games, "all but
me."
Those who braved the weather are as follows: Rev. M.T.
Andrews, B. C. Curry, Mesdames C. C. Morris, W. M. Rogers, R S. McCoy, McComb,
C. T. Curry, M. T. Andrews, J. Tinsley Smith, R. J. McKinney, B. C. Curry,
Sallie Oltorf, Mary Hair, Quaid, Barry, Misses Katie Barry, Bettie Hair, Ora
Quaid, America Killebrew, and a number of children.
A Guest.
