JUDGE PARKER RECEIVES
SUFFICIENT VOTES.
THE returns show that Judge Parker
has perhaps received sufficient votes in precinct convention to insure him the
instruction at the San Antonio state convention. Texas democrats believe that
the time has come to lay aside the past and turn to some man who can lead them
out of the wilderness. Just now, this man seems to be the Esopus jurist, about
whom nothing bad has ever been said - and when a man becomes a candidate for
public office if there is anything bad in him it will come out.
