MOTHER HUBBARDS.
-----
Great Game Between The Green
And the Yellow.
-----
A Neat Sum Realized.
-----
That was a hot game of ball played between the Green and the Yellow "Mother
Hubbards" at Reed park diamond.
The feature of the game was the off style
of teh costumes of the players. Each player was attired in a mother
hubbard costume of the very latest (?) style and pattern.
The game resulted in a score of 14 to 3 in
favor the greens and a purse of $27.05 in favor the Ladies' Wednesday afternoon
social club.
The sensations of the game were the three
bagger hits of "Miss" Ikie Aronsohn and "Miss" Ely McKinney.
The sport was pronounced good by admirers
of the national game.
The players were as follows.
Greens: Barnes, Hosteters Humphrey,
Snodgrass, Price, Cayton, Barton, McKinney, Hunnicutt.
Yellows: Davis, Sewall, Lenoir,
Fannin, Houghton, Aronsohn, Wood, Spawn; Sims, Maxey.
Umpire: McKewen.
