GASOLINE LAMP EXPLODES.
-----
Herron's Drug Store Narrowly Escapes Fire.
-----
About 9 o'clock Friday
a.m, a gasoline lamp exploded in the Herron drug store and ignited the partition
wall between the drug store and the bottling works.
It was only the prompt action of the clerks
and the work of the fire department which prevented a serious and most damaging
fire. As it was the loss is about $100. Mr. Scales the prescription
clerk, had one of his hands severely burned.
