At The Street Fair And Mer-
chants Carnival.

A Big Time The Whole Week.

All arrangements are complete, with the exception of the usual details, for the
holding of the Marlin Street Fair and Merchants' Carnival Sept. 15-20,
inclusive.
The fair and carnival will be held under
auspices of the Ladies' Social Club and it is in the contract that they are in
the contract that they are to control the exhitions to the end that nothing
reasonably objectionable to any one may be shown.
A percentage of the proceeds will go to the
ladies park fund and they have adopted a general outline of the program for the
six days.
Aside from the fair to which an admission
will be charged there will be other attractions, will be reunion of the
Confederate Veterans of the county; a full day has been set apart for that
purpose. Hon. S. W. T. Lanham, nominee for governor, and the best orator
upon the subject in the state, has been invited to deliver an oration upon that
occasion.
The following is the general outline of the
program for the six days of the carnival:
PROGRAM.
Monday, September 15th--
Arrival of King of the Carnival and
receiving the keys of the city from the mayor at Bartlett Park.
Tuesday, September 16--
Reagan, Bremond and Kosse day.
Ex-Confederate Reunion,
picnic, oratory, with the old, old story told anew, Daughters of the
Confederacy.
Wednesday, September 17--
Chilton, Lott, Rosebud and Caldwell day.
Fireman contest, races, contest open to all.
Thursday, September 18--
Waco, Bryan and Calvert day. Woodman,
Knights of Pythias and other lodges.
Friday, September 19--
Marlin day. Flower and merchant's
parade, awarding of prize for best decorated vehicle, float, horse and bicycle.
Grand ball at Arlington Hotell, crowning of queen.
Saturday, September 20--
Rest up, swap yarns, listen to the music,
come again.
Reduced rates from all points in Texas.
