The Marlin Democrat
Fifteenth Year Number 17
Marlin, Texas, Thursday, June 23, 1904
FLOTORIAL REPRESENTATITE.
This district is entitled to two
representatives in the legislature.
W. C. O'Bryan Esq., of McGregor, is an aspirant for one of these places. The
Waco Tribune has this to say of him. "Col. O'Bryan is too well known to
McLenan county people to need an introduction. To those in Falls or Limestone
who may not know him so well, let us say he is a man of mature years (perhaps
fifty years old) a lawyer by profession, stands well at the bar, was born and
raised in this county, has lived at McGregor over, twenty years, and up to a few
weeks ago he had edited and owned the McGregor Observer for many years. He is a
stalwart democrat, a man of intellect and culture, of exemplary moral character
and habits. and of even and well balanced temperament. We know he would be
useful in the legislature. He will have strong support and tells us he expects
to make such canvass in the other two counties as the limited time at his
disposal will permit."
