lst. We endorse the present

the state, and to this end we instruct our representatives in the next
Legislature to use their best energies to secure the passage of such laws as
will secure a fair and impartial ballot for both state and county officers.
2nd. That, while we welcome capital
to our state from every quarter and believe it should be given adequate
protection by law yet we are unalterably opposed to any combination of persons,
conspiriing together to the detriment of any other legitimate business.
3rd. In national matters we heartifly
affirm our allegiance to the democratic doctrines enunciated in the Kansas City
platform, and recognize in it the organic law of the party, until altered in
national convention of democrats and we depreciate the efforts of so called
democrats to reorganize the party two years in advance of the meeting of the
national council.
2nd. We commend our senators, the
Hon. Chas. A. Culberson and the Hon. Joseph W. Bailey for the able and patriotic
manner in which they have deported themselves upon all public questions, and
especially in their attitude towards the present administration and its
Philippine Policy, and upon the "Panama Canal" bill.
