MARLIN'S FIRST BALE.
----------
Marlin received her first bale of
1904 cotton this afternoon.
It was raised by Sandy Ray, colored, on Jesse Brothers
farm Gear Stranger and ginned by D. R. Emerson's gin, and sold to, Thos. Taylor
& Co. for 11 1/2 cents per pound. The cotton will be shipped to the firm's
Liverpool house.
The handsome premium was given the producer.
