MARLIN FIREMEN AT WACO.
The Marlin firemen "covered
themselves with glory" at the Waco meeting and Marlin is justly proud of them.
The "boys," which includes the honored president of the
association and all the rest, old or young, were highly complimented by the
press and citizens of Waco on their splendid appearance in the parade.
In talking with a Waco friend over the telephone he
said to the editor: "Marlin was the most grandly conspicuous part of the parade.
She outshone even Waco, considering that she had but one team in the line. Those
blacks are the most beautiful pair of horses ever seen in Waco and the Marlin
boys know how to handle them, too. The Marlin equipment is the admired of all
admirers. Waco takes off her hat to her little sister down the Brazos."
