DISCOVERED
IN NICK OF TIME
~~~~~
Small Blaze in Justice Fraizer's Court
Room.
~~~~~
The occupants of the court house are
congratulating themselves on the fact that an incipient fire was discovered in
time to be extinguished before it had gained headway in the court house Saturday
morning.
The fire started in the office of Judge Frazier,
justice of the peace of precinct No.1, and was evidently caused by dropping a
cigar stub or a lighted match in the waste basket. The furniture in the office
was damaged somewhat as was also some of the papers in the office.
The fire was soon extinguished but not a minute too
soon as a few minutes longer would have resulted in a fire that would have
necessitated some hard work on the part of the fire department.
