AROUND THE COURT HOUSE

D. W. Jones charged with selling liquor to a minor was fined $25.00 in county
court.
A negro named Odom living near Reagan was arrested and
placed in jail by Constable Marlin on a charge of stealing one head of cattle.
A J. Harvey, convicted of hog theft and given three
years and Joe Smith, convicted of burglary and given fifteen years, at the late
term of the district court, have been taken to the pen to be assigned to
servitude in atonement of their offending.
The are now eight prisoners in the county jail. This is
a very small number.
Young Wallace Frank charged with killing Will Galloway
at Blevins has, it is understood, engaged counsel to defend him.
Charles Brod, charged with selling liquor to a minor on
three cases, plead guilty in one case and was fined $25. The other two were
dismissed.
E. Long was tried on a charge of theft from person of
under $2 and was acquitted.
John Snodgrass was acquitted on a charge of selling
liquor to minor.
Will Kelly, the negro who was dangerously wounded near
Peacock's store is reported to be improving. His assailant is in jail.
