COMMISSIONERS COURT.
The Commissioners Court at its recent
called session transacted the following business:
The votes cast an election on the local
option question in Liberty school district were counted and prohibition having
received a majority was declared carried, the vote standing 37 for and 30
against.
The returns of an election held in precinct
No. 8 on the stock law were canvassed and the vote being 62 for and 50 against,
the stock law was therefore declared adopted.
Ordered by the court that the resignation
of M. C. Fuller as Justice of the Peace of precinct No. 2 accepted and J. S.
Hayes appointed to fill unexpired term.
Resignation of E. C. Smith as Justice of
the Peace in Beat 8 was accepted and W. M. Martin appointed to fill unexpired
term.
