CEDAR SPRINGS FARMERS
The truck farmers at Cedar Springs have shipped their, first car of Irish
potatoes this season, the price received being 86 cents per bushel, f. o. b. the
cars at Travis. The lands around Cedar Springs, planted to this crop will yield
about forty bushels to the acre, as estimated by S. O. Kelly. At 86 cents
per bushel the land will thus bring much more to the owner than if planted in
cotton. However, a forty bushel crop is a light one.
