CARNIVAL NOTES.

A League Ball Game Among the Many
Attractions.

Everything is moving
along nicely with the street fair and carnival.
A meeting of the executive committee was
held yesterday and several matters of detail arranged. Sheriff C. P.
Carlton was appointed Grand Marshall (sic) of the day with S. J. Ward and J. G.
Oltorf as deputies.
Chairman Taylor is receiving applications
by wire and by mail for the privileges. The rebounding rubber man wired
from Abilene and the doll rack and knife board man from South Texas for the
privileges in exploiting their wares during the week. The minature (sic)
train man, the red lemonade man, the Punch and Judy and countless others will be
in evidence.
The merchants are arranging for their
displays and decorations and everything else is moving up alright.
Ice water will be provided in barrels all
over town at convenient places and other like details looked after fro the
convenience of the public.
Chairman Taylor has received a letter from
Teddy Sullivan, Manager for the League ball team making dates for the 17th, 18th
and 19th for a league game between Fort Worth and Dallas. This will be one
of the best attractions of the week and will be witnessed by hundreds of people.
