BURGLARIES AT LOTT.
There has been, within the past few days an epidemic of burglaries at Lott.
A number of private residence were broken
into, and various articles of household goods taken therefrom, such as clothing,
groceries, meat etc.
The officers were puzzled at first as to
who the perpetrators might be, but have succeeded in fastening the crimes in
four instances, upon a young negro by the name of Sterling Hall.
When confronted, Hall confessed to entering
four of the houses, those of Messers Richey Sessions, Daffin and Tabor.
A search of his premises were made and a
number of the articles stolen were found.
He was brought to Marlin and placed in
jail.
