Timely Discovery Saves Ugly Fire
-----
At about eleven o'clock Tuesday night an alarm of fire was turned in from
Christian's restaurant and the prompt response and efficient work of the fire
department prevented what might have been a disastrous conflagration.
The fire was caused by some wood catching
fire that had been placed in the baker's oven to dry out and later put on the
floor of the kitchen.
The bakery and restaurant was considerably
damaged and it was very fortunate that the city marshal discovered the blaze at
the time he did.
