BILL TAYLOR CAUGHT.
Fort Worth, Aug. 1,--There is no doubt but that the notorious train robber and
desperado, Bill Taylor, has at last been captured," said Superintendent G.
A. Taft of the Wells-Fargo Express company yesterday, when asked if he had
definite information from Mexico regarding the man's reported apprehension.
It will be remembered that a Mexican
Central passenger train was held up and robbed near Bermejillo, Mex., on the
night of July 22, and the Wells Fargo company relieved of $52,000. The job
was planned and carried out by two men whose names were afterward learned to be
Lee Smith and Jim Parish.
