A car driven by Leslie Hillen and Paul Klump collided with a car driven by a party from Midway on the highway near the Warren Saturday night and resulted in the death of Paul Klump in a Temple sanitarium Monday, Surviving are his father, wife one child, several brothers and sisters. The body was laid to rest in Woodland cemetery Tuesday afternoon following services at the Baptist church conducted by Rev. Olin Bean.

Mrs. E. F. Bain of Kerens, mother of Mrs. J. R. Killgore, passed away at a Temple hospital Monday morning at 9:45 after an illness lasting several months. The remains were carried by motor hearse to Kerens. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist church at Kerens Wednesday at two p. m. with Rev. W. A. Corkern, pastor, officiating. Interment followed at Bazette cemetery. She is survived by her husband, E. F. Bain, and four children, A/ L. Bain, William Bain, Mrs. R. M. Tyus of Kerens and Mrs. J. R. Killgore of Rosebud.

Mrs. C. C. Davis had the misfortune to lose her little 13-year old brother, Elbert Cheairs, of Fort Wirth in a deplorable accident last Saturday. The lad was flying a kite when it came in contact with a high tension line carrying 1200 volts. His death was instantaneous.

The funeral services of Grandmother McKelroy were held in the Travis Baptist church last Thursday afternoon by Rev. Willingham and the pastor of the Full Gospel church in Marlin. The remains were laid to rest in the Travis cemetery.

Last Saturday morning, John Busker's residence burned down about 11 o'clock. Nearly everything was lost. The family was at sitting by the fire when it caught. About the time the neighbors got through fighting fire, Fritz Weid looked across the street towards the residence of Par Gordon and saw the top of the house on fire. Folks hurried over there and extinguished the fire after about $100 worth of damage had been done.
