ROSEBUD LOCAL NEWS.
It began raining here
about 3:30 Sunday afternoon which has greatly quickened the spirit of the
community, as water was getting to be a very serious question here. Water
has been hauled for several miles for general use for the passed three months
and while it has not rained sufficiently for stock water, much water has been
caught in cisterns for family use and farmers were greatly benefited.
The artesian well people have succeeded in
raising the 4000 pound drill from the bottom of of (sic) the hole 2300 feet down
caused by the the break of the cable two weeks ago. All are anxious of the
event of striking of water in a sufficient quantity, as the well is supposed to,
when completed, supply the town.
The oil mill at this place will close down
the season on tomorrow having about exhausted its supplly of seed.
Willie, the son of Mr. W. M. Taylor, died
yesterday afternoon at his in this city of pneumonia, he being the second son of
Mr. Taylor to die of pneumonia within the past two weeks.
