ROSEBUD RUMBLING,S
Rosebud, Tex., Jan. 18.--Mr. L. C. Pender, who has been suffering for some weeks
past with pneumonia died here this afternoon. The funeral will take place
tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock and the remains will be laid to rest in Woodland
cemetery at Rosebud with the K. of P. and W. O. W. honors, of which he was a
member.
Mr. Pender has resided in this city for
several years and was one of the young promising business men, and leaves a wife
and two children besides the entire community to mourn for him.
The infant son of Mrs. Dora White, who was
severly burned by falling into a fire on Thursday afternoon, died here yesterday
and was buried today.
The electic light plant has started up
again after being shut down several days on account of water supplies.
They now have water hauled from Cameron.
The oil and flour mill people have
completed a tank covering nearly three acres of ground, thereby placing
themselves out of the position of being embarrassed on account of water
supply--that is after it rains again.
