An application for a special dispensation to organize an order of Eastern Star Chapter has been applied for, and at a meeting held Tuesday afternoon the following officers were selected and will be recommended: G C Falkner, worthy patron; Mrs. A. J. Arnold, worthy matron; Mrs. G. C. Falkner assistant matron: Mrs. John Ozier, treasurer; Mrs. Sallie Jones, secretary.

The many friends of little Ivey Childers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Childers, will be pained to learn of the terrible accident which befel her last Thursday afternoon. While trimming her little brother's finger nails, with the scissors he threw up his hand which caused the point of the scissors to enter her eye, completely destroying the sight.

At a meeting of the Rosebud Business League, held Monday afternoon, it was decided to arrange for some kind of an entrainment during April or May, but just what form it will assume has not yet been decided upon. There will probably be a trades display to end up with a grand cattle roping contest, or something of the kind equally attractive. The matter of a park for Rosebud was also discussed and a committee appointed to select a site and report at the next meeting of the league. An opera house for our city is also among the possibilities, and several public spirited members of the league are now at work on this proposition.
