PURELY PERSONAL

 

G. W. Glass spent Monday in Dallas.

 

Col. G. H. Carter was a Dallas visitor Monday.

 

M. J. Poole was in Marlin from Belton on a visit today.

 

Senator Tom Connally went to Bryan today to address the Lions’ club.

 

Mrs. C. N. Slater and daughter, Mrs. Lyda Joseph, of Fort Worth, are Marlin visitors.

 

Mrs. Maude T. Horne and Mrs. L. J. Davis have returned from a week end visit in Dallas.

 

Mrs. Annie Milt Stephens of Dallas is a guest in the of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Stephens.

 

Misses Mable and Evelyn Noble will arrive at 6:30 o’clock this evening from a trip to Havana, Cuba.

 

Misses Leah and Ruth Fountain and Frances McKay and W. M. Parish left Monday on a trip to points in New Mexico.

 

Miss Daisy Leake of Temple, national vice president of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, is in Marlin for her health.

 

Mrs. M. C. Washington and daughter, Miss K. D. Washington, left Monday on a visit to Mississippi, Kentucky and other points.

 

J. R. Hunnicutt, with the United States Customs service at Eagle Pass, and family are guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Hunnicutt.

 

Mrs. Sidney Allison has returned from Annapolis, Md., where she attended graduation exercises of the United States Naval Academy, at which her nephew, James Murphy, received his degree.  She was accompanied from Memphis, Tenn., by her son, Murphy, who joined her there for a visit with relatives.
