Mrs. W. W. Taylor has
returned from a visit to relatives in St. Louis.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Mickle of Chilton were
visitors to Marlin Thursday.
Mrs. T. S. Euper of Brownwood is visiting
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. Barry.
Mrs. J. C. Brothers of Stranger left
Saturday to join her husband at Checotah, Oklahoma.

Mesdames D. L. Wardlaw and J. W. Williams
of Reagan, were shopping visitors to Marlin Friday.
J. C. and Turner Criswell left Friday
afternoon for Tom Green and other counties in west Texas on a visit.
L. B. Chapman, R. E. Threadgill and Miss
Bess Chapman of Lott were visitors to Marlin Thursday.
Hon. B. H. Rice, associate justice of the
court of civil appeals, is from Austin for a few days.

Ernest S. McKenney, representing the firm
of Minier & McKenney, arrived in Marlin Friday afternoon.
Constable Wm. Krumnow of Otto arrested
Thursday night one Smith Carey, a negro wanted at Jacksonville on a misdemeanor
charge. The constable was in town today with his man awaiting instructions
from the Jacksonville authorities.
A permit to wed was granted to H. V.
Calvery and Miss Leona Kellum by the County Clerk Friday afternoon. The
parties live near Eddy.

Mrs. N. K. Beardslee of Oklahoma, Mrs.
Hyatt and Miss Hyatt of Karnes City and Mrs. Spivey of El Paso are late arrivals
at the Maybell.

Gus Shaffer and Miss Ida Sauer of the Otto
Community were united in marriage at the of the bride Thursday afternoon.
Rev. Reddin Andrews of Tyler is visiting
Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Eddins. Rev. Andrews is on his way from southwest Texas
where he held a number of revival meetings.
Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Garvin of Pauls Valley,
Indian Territory, are visitors to Marlin. Mr. Garvin is a director and
prominent factor in the First National Bank of Pauls Valley. J. B. Garvin
of the same place accompanies them.
