THE WAR IN EUROPE
Has caused a big advance in the price of items affecting the
Dry Goods Trade.  There are also many items made exclusively
in Europe which can not be had after present supplies are
exhausted.
Shoe manufacturers are advising the trade to expect an advance of from 25 per cent to 50 per cent on shoes for Spring 1915.  This
being the situation, we congratulate ourselves that our
immense stocks were bought before the trouble began.
