CONCERT FRIDAY NIGHT

The Marlin High School Band will play a short concert
on the stage at the Palace Theatre Friday night at 8:15.
One of the numbers on the program will be the overture used
in winning the first prize at the State Contest in Temple.
       
The management of the Palace Theatre is giving a
percentage of the proceeds of the Friday afternoon and
night shows at the Palace.  A good attendance by the
public would be appreciated by the band.

A. & P. OPENS FOR BUSINESS
IN NEW HEADQUARTERS

The A. & P. store is announcing in this issue their
opening in the new location, the Oltorf building, on the
corner of Live Oak and Postoffice streets.
This building has been modernized especially for
the new A. & P. occupancy and is in every respect
conveniently arranged for the customer.

One of the new features is a market in the store.
D. C. Barnes, local manager, is assisted in arranging
the opening by J. A. Sears, market supintendent from
state headquarters, and J. W. Beasley, assistant district
superintendent of Waco.
