Briefly Told
A number of Marlin friends, including former students at Baylor, attended the
obsequies for the beloved "Prexy", Dr. S. P. Brooks, at Waco Friday afternoon.
Postmaster D. R. Emerson arrived early this
morning from the postmaster's convention at Laredo. A trip over into
Mexico was a side feature of the meeting. J. C. Eakin and son of Chilton
and C. F. Wiebusch of Riesel also attended the convention and saw the sights in
Mexico.
