There will be Thanksgiving services in St. John's Episcopal church at 8:15 a.m. Thursday.

Douglas Parsons served Marlin firemen with coffee at the fire at the Jess Ross on Houghton avenue this morning.

Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Skinner and son, Jimmie, Mrs. C. J. Pauling and Miss Ethel Pearl Pauling will spend the Thanksgiving holidays with relatives at Mason.

W. M. Burke and son, Dillard, and daughter, Mrs. T. F. Mathis, accompanied by Miss Ila Lowe of Roscoe, have returned home, having been called here recently by the death of Mrs. J. Killebrew at her four miles north of Reagan.

The Bluefield (West Virginia) College football team, coached by Mulllie

Lenoir, son of Mrs. Mae Lenoir of Marlin, has won its 1931 conference championship despite injuries sustained by B. A. Pierson, Maurice Steele, W. T. Lenoir, Jr., and Luther Powell, Marlin boys on the squad.
