Marlin public schools observed their
annual spring holiday today.

Senator Tom Connally will deliver an address Tuesday
morning on the San Jacinto battlefield near Houston,
featuring a program commemorating the deciding conflict
in the fight for Texas independence April 21, 1836.
He will address the Southeast Texas Teachers
Association at Houston Friday.
