Briefly Told.

W. L. Falconer reports the appearance of a rabid dog in his pasture west of town
recently. Says the dog made frantic efforts to bite some cattle but that
he thinks that he was not successful in his efforts.

An operation was performed upon Hinds Powell Sunday at the Rice-Allen Infirmary
for appendicits. He underwent the operation nicely and is now resting
well, without indication of complications.

Emmett Dalton, ex-bandit, having learned the tailor's trade and being pardoned
out of the federal penitentiery, has put up a shop and "hanged out a shingle" in
Oklahoma City.

Fred E. Hailey, L. E. Oltorf and James Barton have returned from Waco where they
served Uncle Sam as jurors in the Federal court.
