BRIEFLY TOLD
Albert Sebesta has arrived from San Antonio where he attended the
United States army reserve officers training camp.

Mrs. R. S. McCoy of Marlin, Mr. and Mrs. Grady Hair of Stranger and
Misses Margaret and Katherine Hodges of Lott have returned from a visit with
relatives in Ardmore, Okla.

The Lamar Demonstration Club will meet with Mrs. E.F.Melburn
Thursday afternoon at four o'clock. There will be a demonstration of carrot
jam and cucumber relish. All members are urged to be present.

A telegram was received by T.K. Barton this morning from Mrs. Harry
Barton at Dallas saying Mr. Barton had undergone an operation for
appendicitis, which was successful, and that the patient, who is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. T.K.Barton, was resting well when the telegram was sent.
