sum of $1198.71 was paid out on weekly pay roll by
the city today for labor on city projects of improvement.

N. J. Llewellyn
was elected special judge in county court to hear a lunacy case today. The
party was adjudged of unsound mind.

Some improvement
was reported this afternoon in the condition of J. B. Landrum, Falls county
judge, ill with pneumonia at a Marlin hospital following injuries sustained when
struck by a motor truck Monday.

James Edmond
Post American Legion has extended an invitation to all members of Falls county
post No. 31 to attend a program of entertainment in Waco at eight o'clock.
Monday night, states B. C. Segrest, commander of the local post, who requests
all members who can do so to attend.
