Briefly Told.

Miss Saunders, teacher of English in the public schools here, arrived Tuesday
afternoon from Cleburne where she had been ill, and has resumed her position in
the schools. During her absence the vacancy was filled by Miss Constance
Harlan.

T. J. Adams, "the village blacksmith" at Otto, was in the city Tuesday afternoon
and stated that he was still striking for more money. Farmers out that way
are holding what cotton they have which makes business a little dull.

Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Webb of Reagan will spend the winter at Gadsden, Ala.
They will return with the Misses Webb, sisters of Mrs. Webb, who have been
visiting them at Reagan for several weeks.
