BRIEFLY TOLD
J.C.Powell of Rosebud, who underwent an operation in Marlin Wednesday, is
reported resting well.
A replacement pump recently ordered by the city council has been received and
installed on the Marlin fire department pumper truck.
An iron flag pole is being erected in front of Memorial Cabin on the Falls
county courthouse lawn, being given a coat of paint by Rev. F. P. Goodard.
A telegram received from Mrs. W. W. Turner of Webster today by B. C. Segrest,
commander of Falls county post No. 31, American Legion, states she will be in
Marlin Friday, remaining here until next Wednesday evening for bestowal of U. D.
C. crosses of honor on a group of world war veterans.
