The Marlin Library Study Club meets in Majestic Annex hotel lecture
room at 3:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Smith of Waco, Mrs. W. H. Staton and daughter, Miss Rose
Connally Staton of Waco, and Floy Moore of Eddy were convention guests in the of
Mr. and Mrs. D. S. McKay.

Senator Tom Connally, who spoke on San Jacinto battlefield near
Houston Tuesday, was scheduled to deliver addresses at Wharton today and Bay
City Friday, returning to Houston to speak at a meeting of the Southeast Texas
Teachers Association Friday night.

Flint Brown, negro who saw service in the world war, came in this
morning with a "cold patch" on his shoulder, result of being stabbed with an
"East Dallas Special." He said he was trying to protect a cousin, who stepped
out of the way and the knife descended on him.

Not a single collision was reported in Marlin
for the three days
during the convention when the streets were full of cars. All the traffic
force, marshal and deputies, state highway patrol and boy scouts wee on the job
and turned in a good one. The public, also, is to be commended for a uniform
willingness to conform to the methods of safety provided.
