Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Vann
entertained a number of young people Saturday night. All seemed to enjoy
themselves very much.
Bill Hammer has accepted a position with Little Jack, the tailor, for the fall
season.
Mrs. Lela Janaway of Heidenheimer spent a few weeks with relatives and friends
this week.
Mrs. G. A. Umberfield has returned from Waco where she has been seriously ill
for several weeks.
Junie Harden and Nat Oakden have returned form Gonzales on a business trip.
Wesley Hardin met with an accident last Friday might while playing snap, but
there are hopes of his recovery.
The young people of Grady met a number of hungry wolves in Brushy bottom and the
boys sought refuge in trees, as they were returning from a singing at Mr.
Walton's Sunday night.
Miss Eva Henley and Rev. Ben Conner were out kodaking Sunday afternoon.
The health of the community is very good at present.
Leamon Walton, Miss Myrtle Walton, Robert Jonan of Lott and Miss Lee Jameson of
Marlin were out driving Sunday afternoon.
Miss Hargrove gave a candy breaking Friday night which was enjoyed by all.
