Settlers And Veterans Complete Reunion Plans
The Falls County Old Settlers and Veterans
Association has completed plans for the 1971 reunion at Tomlinson Hill to be
held July 22 and 23. This annual event dates back many years and attracts
interest from across the state.
The first night, Thursday, July 22, will be the
beef barbecue night. Serving will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will be on the
grounds under the big shade trees. Tables and benches will accommodate all
who wish to eat.
The
program which follows will be from the Falls county area. Featured on the
program will be Eddie Symank and his children; Leroy Williams of Lott; Kathy
Parks and Cecil Self of Rosebud; Grady Barganier ????? band; the Cedar Springs
Quartet; Linda Radle from Golinda; and Donna Wedemeyer from Cottonwood.
Mrs. Anton Miller of Cego is program chairman.
A fish supper with hush-puppies for Friday night
will begin at 6:00 p.m. The popular annual fiddlers contest will follow.
Fiddlers from all over the state participate in this event, which always
attracts a large audience.

Tomilson Hill has developed into a favorite site
for family reunions, picnic meetings and other programs.
Jack Stem, president
of the association said that all profits from the two-day affair will be used to
make Tomlinson Hill an even better place to meet.
All citizens of Falls county and the surrounding are are invited
to take part in this reunion.
