Paul Judson Windsor, b June 24, 1907 in Goodwater, Alabama, d June 10, 1966 in
Marlin, Falls County, Texas and buried in Hillcerst Cemetery there-was a son of
Reverend Isaac and Nettie Washburn (Tanner) Windsor of Alabama. Paul's parents
moved to Kerns, Texas, where he was a Baptist Minister.
Paul received a degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and was
subsequently employed at the First State Bank of Marlin, becoming a Vice
President. On November 11, 1939, he married Mary S. Shaw, b April 8, 1915- a
daughter of Dr. Frank Hawthorn and Constance Alberta (Harlan) Shaw-both natives
of Falls County, Texas. Mary was a graduate of Texas Women's University at
Denton (then called "C.I.A."), with a degree in Nutrition. She interned at the
Veterans Hospital in Marlin, and became Chief Dietitian there until her
retirement.
Paul Judson and Mary S. (Shaw) Windson had two children:
Paul Judson Windsor, Jr., b September 8, 1940, who married April 10, 1965 to
Beverly Zack, and had
Mark Windsor, b January 28, 1966; and
Lisa Ann Windsor, b February 26, 1969. They reside in Arlington, Texas.
Mary Frances Windsor, b August 29, 1943, who married November 24, 1962 to John
F. Erskine, and had
John F. Erskine, Jr., b June 9, 1963; and
Scott W. Erskine, b November 17, 1965. They reside in a suburb of Chicago,
Illinois.
Paul and Mary Windsor were members of the First Presbyterian Church of Marlin,
where Mary continues her membership. She is still active in the Women of the
Church group, and resides in Marlin.
