WEIBUSH, H. J.

Surnames: WEIBUSCH

H. J. Weibusch, formerly a citizen of Falls county, but who is now doing work for the German government in East Gernan Africa, will leave in a short time for his post of duty.

He is aiding the government in encouraging the German farmers of that section to grow cotton and he states that the increase in acreage each year is very large, showing that it is not only being found profitable, that the farmers, are determined to make a sucess of it, stimulated and back by the German government which is doing everying possible to make the matter go produce a new industry in that section.

The climate of the sectin where cotton is being grown is a great deal like Texas climate, and the winters are quite mild. There are two rainy seasons during the year, the first, a short one, during November, and then rain begains falling again during March, and continues for two or three months, conforming somewhat to our springs rains. The colonies of that part of Africa are building up fast with a good and progressive set of farmers and others.

Hermann has been visiting his brothers, Charles J. Weibusch, near Perry, and other reltives(sic)in Texas for six months. His work is being watched with a great deal of interest in this section where hi is known to a great many people.
