Robert Franklin Wooley, b October 5, 1831 in Indiana, d January 1, 1907 at Golinda, Falls County, Texas-was the second son of Henry Wooley,II and his wife, Belinda (Brown)
Wooley of Ripley County, Indiana. Abaout 1858, Robert Franklin Wooley married Amy Ann Rosencrants, who was born June 24, 1840 in Iowa, d February 20, 1909 at Golinda, Texas-a daughter if Hiram and Martha (Bennett) Rosencrants, of Iowa.
Robert and Amy moved from Iowa into Kansas, where they lived on the Pottawattamie Indian Reservation. He was a farmer and hunter. During the Civil War, Robert served as a Captain in the Union Army, returning safely. In 1877, Robert and Amy moved their family to Waco, Texas. They bought farm land at Golinda in Falls County, and a number of the Wooley family still reside in the Golinda and Chilton areas of Falls County.
Robert Franklin and Amy Ann (Rosencrants) Wooley had five children:

Henry Wooley, b 1857 in Iowa, d 1950 in Comanche, Texas-married in 1889 in Golinda, Falls County, Texas to Tennessee Watkins.

William Wooley, b April 22, 1866 in Kansas, d February 26, 1888 in Golinda, Texas.

Daniel Elmer Wooley, b January 22, 1869 in Kansas, d December 1950-married in 1889 to Mary Alice Allen, b January 28, 1860 in Ohio, d June 1, 1939 at Golinda.

Benjamin Franklin Wooley, b at Golinda on February 23, 1878, d there August 2, 1884.

Amy Ann Wooley, b 1885 in Falls County, Texas, d August 3, 1976-married aabout 1900 to Mark Hurlock.
Politically, the Wooley family is Republican, with several brothers having fought in the Union Army during the Civil War.
