CHARLES TOWERS

     Charles Towers, b September 18, 1888 in Limestone County, Texas, d July 10, 1948 in Marlin, Texas

and buried there in Calvary Cemetery - was a son of Junius Elbert and May (Smith) Towers of Limestone County, Texas. He married Florence May Vinson, b July 21, 1890, d November 6, 1971 - a daughter of William Price and Sallie Belle (Davis) Vinson. She was buried by her husband in Calvary Cemetery.

     Charles was employed by the U.S. Post Office in Marlin, Texas; and Florence worked as a department store clerk in Marlin. They had one daughter:

     Annie Belle Towers, b October 19, 1912 – married Dewitt Elvin Kelley, b May 29,1909, d March 4,1972 in Marlin and buried in Calvary Cemetery. Annie Belle is office manager for Western Auto in Marlin; and Dewitt was manager of Marlin Country Club at the time of his death. Their daughter, Eileen Kelley, b January 27, 1946 in Marlin - married Richard Ed. ward Grych of Bremond, Texas, b April 3, 1943, and they have Brandon James Grych, b April 19, 1968; Gina Gail Grych, b October 27, 1969; Dewitt Edward Grych, b May 15, 1973; and Gerard Vinson Grych, b May 25, 1975.
