FINIS EUPHRATES TAYLOR

     Finis Euphrates Taylor, b January 6, 1892 in Moody, Texas, d September 1, 1958 in Marlin, Falls County, Texas. On September 11, 1915 in Bruceville, Texas, Finis Euphrates Taylor married Martha Elizabeth Clendenning, b January 28, 1893 in Bruceville, Texas, d in January 1979 in Marlin, Texas.

     Finis Euphrates worked for the Singer Sewing Machine Company as a salesman and repairman for a number of years, and then worked for Adams Funeral as bookkeeper - retiring from there in May 1958. Martha Elizabeth was a telephone operator in Bruceville before her marriage, and then became a housewife and mother. They were both members of the First Baptist Church - and he was a member of the Woodmen of the World Lodge, while she was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. They were the parents of four children:

     Finis Earl Taylor, b November 22, 1917 who married Cora Lyon Crook and had four children.

     Mary Katherine Taylor, b December 19, 1919 in Marlin, Texas.

     Frances Elizabeth Taylor, b September 4, 1922 in Marlin, Texas.

     Gladys Taylor, b October 18, 1924 in Marlin, d February 1976 in Grand Prairie, Texas.
