THOMAS BENJAMIN SPROTT

 

 

 

Thomas Benjamin Sprott, b 1883, d 1927 and buried in Waite Cemetery at Reagan, Falls County, Texas ‑ was a son of Alston Dunn and Sarah Elizabeth (May) Sprott who settled in the Reagan Community. Thomas Benjamin (called "Tom") married Estelle Dickens, b December 18, 1893, d September 27, 1978 and buried in Waite Cemetery at Reagan ‑ a daughter of Charles N. Dickens, b December 5, 1850 in Alabama, d February 2, 1918 and buried in the Blue Ridge Cemetery in Falls County, Texas, and his wife, Salome Aurelia (Barganier) Dickens, b January 19, 1868 in Alabama, d October 21, 1957 and buried by her husband in the Blue Ridge Cemetery.

Tom and Estelle had three children:

Flora Elizabeth Sprott, b April 16, 1914 in Falls County, Texas, resides in Marlin, Texas. She married first on April 12, 1941 to Louis Fred Neumann (called "Louie"), b 1909, d 1969 and buried in Hillcrest Cemetery at Marlin ‑ a son of William W. Neumann, b August 19, 1867, d February 6, 1928 and his wife, Ottillia ("Tillie" Albrecht) Neumann, b February 28, 1875, d January 11, 1957 and both buried in St. Paul Cemetery in Falls County, Texas. Flora and Louie had two children: William Sprott Neumann, b March 27, 1944 in Marlin ‑ married Carolyn Rogers, who had Donald Ray Neumann, b June 16, 1970; and Philip Frederick Neumann, b January 4, 1976, and residing in Garland, Texas; and Danna Joy Neumann, b July 30, 1947 in Marlin ‑ married Jimmy Roppolo ‑ a son of Nick James and Josephine (Roppolo) Roppolo, and had one son, Matthew James Roppolo, b January 25, 1978, and residing in E1 Camp, Texas. Flora married second on

April 14, 1974 to Martie Lee ("Mark") Bridgewater, who was buried in Union Cemetery near Durango. His first wife was Duchie Alexander, but he had no issue.

Thomas Benjamin Sprott, II, b September 27, 1918, d December 3, 1982 ‑ married Betty Jean Erskine, and had issue.

Charles Alston Sprott, b ca 1920. No further information. After the death of Thomas Benjamin Sprott, I ‑ his widow, Estelle (Dickens) Sprott married second to Louis LeSassier, and had no issue. She was buried by her first husband ‑ father of her three children.
