Charles R. Pierce, b June 30,1894 in Homer, New York, d in Cleburne,
Johnson County, Texas on January 26, 1960 and buried in Chilton Cemetery, Falls
County, Texas-married in 1915 in Homer, New York to Olive Sheppard, b December
19, 1896 in Canada, d September 2, 1984.
Charles and Olive Pierce settled in the Chilton area of Falls County,
Texas in 1935, and were the parents of five children:
Raymond F. Pierce, b February 9. 1916 in New York, d July 12, 1979 and
buried in Chilton Cemetery

married Jean Cox, and moved to Houston, Texas.
Harriett Alice Pierce, b December 20, 1918 in New York -
married Clifford King of Lott, Texas. They were the parents of Cecilia Ann King,
b January 17, 1942 in Lott, who married David Brodie on January 21, 1961 and had
Holly Jan Brodie, b February 12, 1964 who married September 22, 1984 to Michael
Strong; and Teri Lynn Brodie, b May 8, 1967. Harriett and Clifford are active in
Lott's civic and public affairs, with Harriett working to help get a historical
marker for Lott and publishing a cookbook, including recipes and historical
notes of early Lott settlers - a project sponsored by the Lott Civic Club.
William Kenny Pierce, b April 25, 1921 in New York, d October 7, 1945 in
Chilton. He was not married.
Marion Cecilia Pierce, b November 10, 1922 in New York - married on
August 3,1946 to James Russell and moved to Waco, Texas. They had two children:
Robert Russell, b June 6, 1949 who married Sherri Hamilton and had Jennifer
Russell, b October 19, 1968, and James Russell, b December 3, 1972; and Nancy
Russell, b December 1950 who married Steve Severson and had a daughter, b March
16, 1980, and a son, Matthew Severson, b May 13, 1983.
David Andrew Pierce, b October 27, 1930 - married Betty Jean Easter,
and had two children: Andrew Pierce, b August 29, 1955 who married Beverly
Schwarst and had Jeannette Pierce, b October 3,1982, and Julia Pierce, b July 3,
1984; and Michael Earl Pierce, b ca 1932 who married and had Michael David
Pierce, b November 11, 1976. In
1963, David was with the U. S. Army in Munich, Germany.
In September 1962, Olive (Sheppard) Pierce was married second to Haywood
F. Rice, b December 2, 1886, d February 1, 1963 and buried in Chilton Cemetery –
a son of Dr. Ulysses Ashford Rice and his second wife, Henrietta E. (Hughes)
Rice.
