     Tom Liles Peters, born October 5, 1889 in the Busby community north of Lott, died December 18, 1976 at Rosebud, buried at Clover Hill Cemetery, Lott, was a son of Thomas Gott Peters, born January, 1859 in Robertson County, Texas, died October 14, 1942 at Lott, buried at Clover Hill Cemetery, and Rebecca Liles Peters, born 1860 in Alabama, died February 12, 1949 at Lott, buried at Clover Hill Cemetery.

     Tom Peters was married on September 20, 1912 at Lott to Rinda Walker, born Novemberf18, 1893 near Bremond, Texas, died May 7, 1960 in Marlin, buried at Clover Hill Cemetery. She was the daughter of Granville Walker and Mary Alice Mooney Walker from Tennessee. Tom and Rinda Peters spent their entire married life farming in the Lott area-first on a farm about five miles northwest of Lott, then on a farm they purchased about one-half mile southeast of Lott. They were members of the Church of Christ, Lott. They were the parents of three children-two daughters and one son.

     Edith Rebecca Peters, born July 16, 1913 near Lott, graduated from Lott High School and Mary Hardin-Baylor College, and was a teacher at Durango, Blue Ridg e, and Demonstration Agent at Coldspring, San Jacinto County. On September 19, 1942 she was married to Clois David Stone, born September 17, 1911 at Blevins, son of Charley and Lella Stone. They have lived at Bastrop, Belton, and Gatesville, where they still reside. Clois was an Executive Director of the ASCS in these counties and Edith taught in Bastrop and Gatesville. They are both now retired. They have one son, Paul Clois Stone, born September 17, 1951, who now lives in Connecticut.

     Eva Mae Peters was born September 17, 1918 near Lott. She graduated from Lott High School and Scott and White Nurses Training School. She married Chester Lane Owens of Woodville, Texas on December 23, 1939. They have three children: Chester L. Owen, Jr., born February 18, 1943; Rebecca Ann Owens, born March 1, 1945; and Richard Peters Owens, born November 8, 1952. Chester, Jr., works with a computer firm in Dallas and Houston; Rebecca is a flight attendant with Eastern Airlines, Atlanta, Georgia; and Richard Peters Owens is a mechanical engineer living in Phoenix, Arizona. They have three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Eva and Chester Owens live in Dallas. He is retired from Atlantic-Richfield Oil Company.

     Basil Augustus Peters, born August 18, 1922 at Lott, attended school at Lott and graduated from Aviation Mechanics Schools in Dallas and California. He was in the United States Air Force during World War II. Following the war he worked at LTV in Grand Prairie. He was married to Ruby Wilson of Marlin in June, 1951. They had one son-Wallace Walker Peters, born February 17, 1952, now living with his wife Ginger,

     He has four children by a previous marriage. Basil died of a sudden heart attack at Lake Whitney on March 20, 1966 and was buried at Grand Prairie, Texas and re-interred at Clover Hill Cemetery, Lott, Texas.

     Tom Peters was married second to Mrs. Leone Hudgens Tindle of Lott on July 4, 1961. He preceded her in death, and she died on August 28, 1986 and was buried at Clover Hill Cemetery.
