JOSEPH MARION PETERS

     Joseph Marion Peters, b July 20, 1868, d January 24, 1948 and buried in Marlin, Texas - was a son of Elijah and Ann Elizabeth (Murphey) Peters. On September 25, 1892, Joseph Marion married Minnie Bell Smith, b August 20, 1875, d January 3, 1960 and buried in Marlin, Texas - a daughter of Andrew Marion and Mary Josephine (Plummer) Smith.

     Their six children were Aaron Joseph Peters, Bessie Elma Peters, Eula Beatrice Peters, Gussie Jewel Peters, Johnnie May Peters, and Etta Josephine Peters.

     Bessie Elma Peters, b January 21,1896, d October 15, 1973 - married on November 17, 1912 to Egbert Chester Yeager, b December 22, 1893, d April 22, 1954 and both buried in Marlin, Texas. They were the parents of three children: Hettie Pearl Yeager, b August 10,1915 in Marlin, Texas who married Dr. Pedro Garcia; Joe Chester Yeager, b February 2, 1917, d June 9, 1921; and James Howard Yeager, b December 11,1927 who married April 3, 1949 to Mary Ruth Wilkinson, b August 20, 1926, and had two children - both born in Falls County, Texas: Nancy Suzanne Yeager, b June 22, 1955, and Joe Howard Yeager, b October 21, 1956.
