WILLIAM M. MOORE
William M. Moore, b ca 1855 in Alabama, d 1899 in
Falls Co. of pneumonia contracted during the terrible blizzard of that year, was
married on December 22, 1882 to Margaret Moore (called Maggie), b May 26, 1857,
Wood County, Texas, d 1931 Falls County, a daughter of Elisha and Mary (Mollie
Wilson) Moore of Alabama.
William and Maggie had seven known children:
Etta L. Moore, b August 5, 1884 in Falls County, d
March 3, 1970 at Lott, buried in Clover Hill Cemetery, married on June 2, 1900
to Rolla G. Dailey, b September 23, 1872, d October 28, 1965 at Lott, They had
Rolla Will Hailey, b June 6, 1902, d April 4, 1979, who married Bobbie Ruble;
Marietta Hailey, b October 10, 1904, married C. J. Sudduth, b November 6, 1900,
d November 6, 1976, buried Clover Hill Cemetery; and Robert R. Hailey, b October
26, 1906, d January 22, 1927, buried by his parents.
(Daughter) Moore married J. W. Earls, a son of Lige
and Nancy Earls who moved to Falls County in 1895 after immigrating from
Tennessee in 1891. J. W. and his wife had a daughter, Maggie Rose Earls, who
married Robert Carnet and lives in Waco.
Walter Moore moved to Houston.
(Daughter) Moore married D. W. Stuckey and moved to
Houston.
Elisha Moore II moved to Marlin.
(Daughter) Moore married E. C. Goodman. They had a
daughter and moved to Bellmead in McLennan County.
W. S. Moore moved to Waco.
On her 100th birthday, the children and grandchildren
held a family reunion, called the Maggie Moore birthday party reunion.
