ABRAHAM ALONZO MOORE

 

Abraham Alonzo Moore, b November 24, 1879 at Mooreville, Falls County, Texas, d November 23, 1932 at Satin, and buried at Chilton ‑ was a son of William Columbus Moore, b 1856, and his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Lewallen) Moore.

On June 1, 1879, Abraham Alonzo Moore (called "Abe"), was married to Minnie Drake, b July 4, 1879 at Mooreville, d September 23, 1949 in Marlin and buried at Chilton ‑ a daughter of Solomon and Ann (Berry) Drake.

Abe and Minnie reared six of seven children:

Margaret Moore, b September 26, 1899, d August 20, 1900 at Chilton.

Elmer Roy Moore, b February 12, 1901, d September 14, 1981‑married January 31, 1921 to Clara Mae Crosslin.

Albert Lee Moore, b April 7, 1903, d September 28, 1968 ‑ married first on April 21, 1923 to Ella Mae Tadlock, and married second in 1954 to Myrtle Newby.

David D. Moore, b September 2, 1905, d November 17, 1976‑married first in 1925 to Venus Crosslin, and married second on April 7, 1946 to Maurine Claghorn.

Lonnie Leo Moore, b July 13, 1910, d September 11, 1968 ‑ married October 1928 to Vivian Marie Sharp.

Jewel Mae Moore, b January 1, 1917 at Satin married first in April 1934 to E. S. Farney, and married second November 1, 1971 to West M. Branch.

Edna M. Moore, b February 2, 1920 at Satin married October 1, 1938 to Thomas Calvin Arledge, Jr.
